OPTIMISTS' CSP BENEFITS DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM

REPORT ON CSP BENEFITS DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM AND YEAR ENDING CEREMONY OF THE OPTIMISTS MOULVIBAZAR DISTRICT
The regular Child Sponsorship Program (CSP) benefits distribution program, Year ending ceremony and Re certification Examination’09 of The Optimists Moulvibazar District was held on dated 2 nd January’2010 in Govt. High School Moulvibazar and Saifur Rahman Auditorium. Dr. Monowar Ahmad Tarafdar, District Director, The Optimists Moulvibazar District, presided over the program and gave welcome to everybody for attending the program in time. The following members of The Optimists Moulvibazar District Executive Committee were present in this program.

Major Gen Abdus Salam Chowdhury, NDC (Retd.) our honorable Country Director, Lt. Col. Rokeya Rahman, Mr. Bill Wilson, advisor and child sponsor of The Optimists UK, Mr. Faruque Ahmed, former secretary general of The Optimists UK, Mr. Abul Kalam honorable sponsor from USA, Mr. Shahadat Hussain, Director Finance, Optimists Bangladesh delivered their speech at the meeting. All the members of The Optimists Moulvibazar district executive committee, volunteers, journalists, well-wishers and local dignitaries were present at the meeting.

The following benefits were distributed among the beneficiaries. 1. Cash Stipend, 2. Dress (cash), 3. Shoes, socks and sandals (cash), 4. Tooth Paste & Tooth brush etc. All the benefit recipient children were present in this program. Re-certification examination held at 1.00pm to 3.00pm. Dr. Monowar Ahmad Tarafdar, and Dr. Dil Shad Pervin checked up the Children’s health and prescribed necessary medicine and advice them about their personal health, hygiene and sanitation etc.

Our Country Director introduced Mr. Bill Wilson to our children and their parents/guardians. Mr. Bill talked and shared his experience with them. Mr. Bill Wilson reviewed the whole process of Child Sponsorship Program and expressed his satisfaction. He committed to work with The Optimists to help Bangladeshi children.

The Chairperson thanks all the members, Children, their guardians and guests again. The benefits distribution program was adjourned at 7.00 pm.
